Metzler Investment GmbH: Implementation of the DIAMOS-Fee module

Metzler Investment GmbH (Metzler) chose to implement the DIAMOS-fee module mid 2009. The system went in production January 2010, providing Metzler with functionalities for automated fee calculation and fee management processes for investment funds while supporting the entire workflow including fee invoicing.

The Performance Fee functionalities play a particularly relevant role, as they facilitate the handling of even complex performance-related fees.

To support their customized fee management schemes, Metzler uses a granular fee concept.  Already today, the DIAMOS-Fee module provides several hundreds of fee definitions for this purpose.

In addition to performance fees, the DIAMOS-Fee module supports a broad range of fee types, i.e. management fees, administration fees, custody fees, trustee fees and (tax) audit fees.

The DIAMOS-Fee module is reliable, audit-proof, customizable and flexible. For example, user-definable formulas and calculated results can be used as a configuration base for fees, and fee allocation is made simple through customizable distribution keys.

About Metzler Investment GmbH: Metzler currently manages 469 units, whereas one unit corresponds to a single fund or - in case of segmented funds - one segment.
AUM for the 469 units amount to 32.4 bn. euro.

About the DIAMOS Fee-module: All DIAMOS products are based on the DIAMOS system platform which provides significant benefits that are available as basic functionalities. The roots of the DIAMOS-Fee module can be found in the fund accounting solution DIAMOS-F which goes back to the year 2005. The product has since been continually enhanced and finally established as an individual product line at the end of 2008. The DIAMOS-Fee module can also be used in combination with other fund accounting solutions to enhance efficiency within investment processes. This has been successfully accomplished with fund accounting solutions such as Profidata´s XENTIS and IGEFI´s Multifonds.
